V&V Engineering Intern

JOB TITLE: V&V Engineer
START DATE: Immediately
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
REPORTS TO: Manager - Test & Quality

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager - Test & Quality, your primary role will be to develop test plans, test procedures and test all aspects of the product, system and software against specifications. The V&V role includes partaking of various levels of verification and validation such as performance tests in dynamic environments utilizing multiple techniques, vehicles and tools. The V&V engineer also partakes in continual automation and improvement of V&V processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop test plans for several products like AP+, APX, POS, PX-1 and more.
* Conduct numerous independent tests of the system including functional and performance tests
* Ability to analyze out of performance issues and pinpoint source of errors for developers
* Recommend solutions for continuous improvement of testing processes and assist in improving the software development life cycle
* Maintain independent set of test tools and independently setup test systems and conduct full system testing
* Documentation and presentation of tests results accurately and efficiently

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
* Flexible enough to handle multitude of varying tasks including field and mobile vehicle tests, hardware, software, systems and lab testing.
* Excellent Soft Skills and ability to work with various stakeholders.
* Experience with GNSS, sensor technology & inertial and positioning systems is a strong asset.
* Experience in system level integration and testing.
* Experience writing scripts using Python and MATLAB to automate testing and improve development efficacy is an asset.
* Excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Ability to thrive in a diverse multi-tasking environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
* UAV license is preferred but not mandatory.
