Job Description

You will join our team that is looking for a Responsible Investment Project Manager for a 6-month internship starting in February 2026.
Within the Funds and Mandates Department, the Responsible Investment (RI) Division is responsible for AEW's RI policy, the RI strategy of the funds, the development of operational tools, ensuring compliance with RI procedures, and reporting to investors.
This division manages all relationships with AEW's institutional clients. It oversees the strategy and management of the Funds and Mandates and is tasked with developing AEW's activities. In this context, managers are responsible for several funds and mandates that incorporate RI criteria. This division works closely with various European offices.
In collaboration with your mentor, your main tasks will include:
* Operational Management
* Strategic Oversight:
* Monitoring compliance with the ESG strategies of real estate funds;
* Implementing RI management procedures for Asset Management and Investment, both institutional and retail;
* Developing methodological tools, templates, and digital tools to ensure compliance with RI procedures;
* Ensuring adherence to RI management procedures;
* Monitoring indicators for RI funds;
* Contributing to requests for proposals regarding ESG aspects;
* Leading innovative projects on biodiversity, renewable energies, health, waste, food waste, circular economy, etc.;

* Acquisition and Asset Management:
* Conducting RI evaluations of assets prior to acquisition;
* Executing exemplary operations and testing technological innovations in collaboration with Asset Management and the Technical and Sustainable Development Department, including certifications, renewable energy, health, indoor air quality, biodiversity, charging stations, etc.;
* Engaging in new operations and collaborating with developers to implement innovative solutions and exemplary operations;
* Monitoring improvement plans for assets within the RI funds;

* Reporting:
* Establishing automation tools for data collection and reporting production;
* Providing periodic RI reporting to investors according to contractual provisions;
* Conducting annual carbon footprint calculations for portfolios and reporting to investors;

* Training and Communication:
* Monitoring technological innovations in sustainable development/RI;
* Keeping abreast of regulatory developments concerning RI;
* Responding to international assessments of RI funds;
* Training internal teams on operational RI practices;

* Representation
* Participating in ad-hoc industry groups focused on RI, RI labels, green finance, etc.;
* Communicating and marketing the RI initiatives undertaken;

* Corporate Management
* Monitoring and communicating the RI policy;
* Tracking global indicators;
* Contributing to responses to international assessments of AEW;
* Participating in shareholder reporting on ESG actions;
* Contributing to requests for proposals regarding ESG aspects;
* Supporting European teams on RI-related topics.
