Introduction
The Data & Analytics team within the integral field product planning department ensures the right parts are available at the right time for customers such as leading semiconductor manufacturers. The team develops data products and insights that support planning decisions across global supply chains. This internship focuses on improving the reliability and usability of critical datasets used for operational decision-making. You will help ensure that data related to part usage, inventory, and shipments remains accurate, timely, and actionable. Your contribution directly supports efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Your assignment
In this internship, you will work on monitoring and improving datasets that support supply chain planning. You will explore practical ways to detect inconsistencies, automate checks, and communicate insights effectively to the team. The solution can take different forms, such as a lightweight tool, recurring report, or automated notification. Your main responsibilities will be:
* Analyze datasets such as historical and forecasted part usage and stock levels
* Identify inconsistencies, gaps, or anomalies in supply chain data
* Design and implement monitoring solutions to track data quality
* Collaborate with team members to understand data usage and requirements
* Validate improvements and measure their impact on data reliability
* Document your approach and share recommendations for future improvements
This is a master's (thesis) internship for a minimum of 5 months, a minimum of 4-5 days per week (3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of August / September 2026.
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
* Are studying toward a bachelor's or master's degree in data science, business analytics, supply chain management, computer science, or a related field
* Have basic experience with programming (e.g., Python, Java, or similar)
* Are comfortable working with data and performing structured analysis
* Show strong self-learning ability and work independently
* Communicate clearly using English (C1) and collaborate effectively in a team environment
Other requirements you need to meet:
* You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
* Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
* You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.
* If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
