Description du poste:

________

At EY, we're all in to shape your future with confidence.
We'll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go.
Join EY and help to build a better working world.

_________

Are you eager to gain experience in M&A origination and deal sourcing at one of the world's leading advisory firms?

EY's Corporate Finance team is looking for an intern to support our team in Copenhagen with origination research and pipeline development. This is a fixed-term internship-style position designed to provide exposure to how M&A opportunities are identified, qualified, and developed-well before a transaction becomes "live".

The opportunity: Your next adventure awaits

As an intern in Corporate Finance, you will be part of a young and dynamic team where we assist companies in achieving their strategic objectives through local or global mergers and acquisitions (M&A). We advise company owners, private equity firms, and corporate clients throughout the M&A process-from early positioning and market mapping to deal execution.

In this role, your focus will be on origination activities: helping build and maintain a strong pipeline by identifying relevant companies, decision-makers, and transaction catalysts.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

* Market mapping and target identification: Conduct target searches and screenings to identify relevant companies and potential transaction opportunities

* Origination research: Monitor sector and company developments (e.g., strategic shifts, ownership signals, carve-out potential) to identify actionable deal triggers

* Pipeline and CRM support: Maintain and Support the team's pipeline tracking and data quality to ensure structured follow-up and prioritization

* Database enhancement: Strengthen and expand our database of leads by enriching company and contact information (e.g., ownership, key executives, sponsor relationships)

* Outreach preparation support: Assist with research and briefs for client coverage activities (e.g., company snapshots, peer screens, meeting prep)

* Ad-hoc origination tasks: Contribute to internal initiatives related to pipeline reporting and origination analytics

This is a fixed-term internship/student position, not permanent, running from August to January. There may be an opportunity to extend beyond this period depending on business needs and mutual fit, but this is not guaranteed. Weekly hours are about 15-20 with flexible scheduling during exam periods.

What we look for

* You are structured, proactive, and detail-oriented. We're looking for someone who enjoys research, data management, and origination-focused problem solving, and who is comfortable working with Excel and PowerPoint.

* You have an open and positive mindset. You are curious, able to work independently, and motivated to learn how M&A opportunities are sourced and developed in a professional advisory environment.

* Qualifications:

*
* You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field

*
* You are fluent in both Danish and English

*
* You are comfortable working with data (e.g., Excel)
