Asset Management Intern

Banca Generali is one of the leading private banks in Italy, operating at the forefront of financial planning and asset management. Within the Investment Center - Asset Management, the Gestioni Patrimoniali team develops advanced investment solutions for the Bank's clients.

We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on and curious profile to support the Asset Management team in data analysis, automation and reporting activities, with a strong focus on advanced Excel usage and AI-driven tools.
This internship is designed for candidates who enjoy working directly with data, models and tools, adopting a "tinkerer / power-user" mindset rather than a purely theoretical approach.

The intern will be involved in operational and project-based activities, including:
* Supporting the Asset Management team in portfolio and market data analysis
* Developing and maintaining advanced Excel models (complex formulas, Power Query, pivots, automation)
* Building advanced reporting tools for portfolio monitoring and performance analysis
* Automating recurring processes (reporting, database updates, data quality checks)
* Supporting the maintenance and update of funds and instruments databases
* Using generative AI tools to:
* analyze and synthesize data
* summarize market information
* support the generation of investment insights
* Collaborating on the development of internal, data-driven tools to support investment decision-making

Profil requis du candidat:

* Degree (ongoing or completed) in: Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science or similar fields
* Advanced knowledge of Excel
* Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
* High interest in data, automation and digital tools
* Good command of English

Nice to Have (Strongly Valued)

* Experience with:
* Power Query / VBA / macros
* data analysis tools
* Familiarity with generative AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT or similar)
* Interest in financial markets
* Basic knowledge of:
* Bloomberg or financial databases
* programming languages such as Python or SQL (not mandatory)
