Job Description:

(COMPANY NAME)'s Data Products enable our clients to win more with their consumers through data and analytics. As Staff Systems Engineer, you will be part of Corporate Applications and Intelligence team under (COMPANY NAME) Technology Organization and will help to build centralized and decentralized BI platforms that will strengthen (COMPANY NAME)'s position as market leader for the future and build customer loyalty based on added value with insightful data.
You will work with colleagues, who will support and challenge you daily. You must be a team player, self-starter, detail-oriented, work in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment and be able to prioritize multiple demands. You will be responsible for creating and implementing best practices, finding areas for improvements, and coordinating multiple work streams.

As we embark on the journey, we are looking for a Staff Systems Engineer who is technically hands on and can help to build and maintain enterprise BI platforms.
Responsibilities
* Understand the Payments industry and (COMPANY NAME)'s vision, strategy and how your role will make an impact.
* Understand the business initiatives and their importance to the growth of (COMPANY NAME).
* Develop a good understanding of the (COMPANY NAME)'s BI platforms.
* Evaluate technical options and provide recommendation on scope and scale of effort required to develop an end-to-end solution.
* Be able to understand and influence System Design by collaborating with Operations and Infrastructure (O&I), Security and Data Privacy stakeholders.
* Be responsible for the overall development life cycle of the solution and build and deploy high-quality BI Platforms that are scalable.
* Actively participate in defining architecture and creating solution documents, consistently, be hands-on with low level design, code review, coding, unit testing, production deployment and support activities.
* Deliver efficient and high-quality solutions.
* Ability to identify and manage risks at all stages of the project and work with stakeholders to mitigate these risks.
* Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards, processes, and systems.
* Manage access controls, set up and maintain the BI platform, and ensure the system's overall health and performance using usage reports.
* Document all processes, methodologies, and instructions related to the BI Platform. Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and is accessible to relevant stakeholders.
* End User support and training.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
* 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
* 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
* Experience in understanding the requirements and independently, architect, design and build large scale resilient enterprise applications.
* Results-oriented with strong problem solving skills and demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
* Expertise in installing and upgrading enterprise wide multi node Self Servicing BI Platforms like Tableau Server and Power BI Report Server with High Availability.
* Experience in setting up Tableau Online Sites and Power BI Service.
* Experience in implementing governance initiatives for the BI Platform with automations.
* Experience in building extensions for Tableau Server.
* Experience with Power BI REST APIs for embedding, administration, governance and user resources.
* Experience in building scalable dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Power BI Desktop Software.
* Oracle Business Intelligence Application (OBIA) deployment experience with CRM and Financial Analytics Modules - Procurement & Spend, Spend Classification, AP Transactions and GL Balance Sheet.
* Experience in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE).
* Experience in building data pipelines and ETL using Bigdata Open Source Technologies stack.
* Expertise with RDBMS systems like DB2, Oracle or SQL Server.
* Request, Incident, Problem and Change Management process.
* End User training and support.
* Certifications in Tableau, Power BI and OBIEE is a plus.
* Experience programming in at least one or more in Python, Scala and Java.
* Gen AI knowledge is a plus.
