Are you passionate about payroll accuracy, HR operations, and delivering high-quality employee services? We are looking for a Payroll & HR Operations Specialist to support critical HR and payroll activities in Costa Rica, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a seamless employee experience.

This is a hands-on role with strong exposure to payroll processes, HR systems, and collaboration with local, regional, and global stakeholders.

Your role:

* Deliver Tier 2 HR services in line with agreed KPIs, SLAs, quality standards, and payroll calendars.

* Provide on-site administrative and operational HR support, including physical document management in compliance with Costa Rican labor legislation.

* Support end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and service continuity.

* Collect, validate, and maintain payroll and employee data in SuccessFactors/SAP and country-specific HRIS.

* Reconcile headcount between HR systems and Payroll, managing deviations prior to payroll close.

* Partner with payroll vendors to deliver earnings, deductions, time-off, sickness, and long-term absence data securely and on time.

* Validate and reconcile payroll results, manage approvals, and trigger salary payments.

* Manage off-cycle payrolls, garnishments, overpayments, third-party payments, and statutory deductions.

* Support payroll audits, internal/external controls, and month-end / quarter-end payroll reporting.

* Contribute to process improvements, system upgrades, and knowledge documentation.

* Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Legal, HRBPs, Centers of Excellence, and regional ES teams in LATAM.

Who you are:

* Experience in Payroll and HR Operations, preferably in a shared services or multinational environment.

* Solid knowledge of Costa Rica payroll regulations, statutory requirements, and local compliance.

* Hands-on experience with SAP / SuccessFactors or similar HR systems.

* Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

* Customer-oriented, with strong communication skills and experience handling employee payroll queries.

* Ability to work collaboratively in regional and global teams.

* Flexibility to adapt to operational schedules and real-time business needs.

* English proficiency (professional working level).
