The Transfer Pricing team is part of the Tax Practice group, which is one of the largest and most international tax groups in the Netherlands.

About the Transfer Pricing Team
(COMPANY NAME) Amsterdam has a dedicated transfer pricing team comprising of tax lawyers and economists. The team often works together with various (COMPANY NAME) offices around Europe and around the globe, offering services to an international client base. We therefore attach great value to the multi-cultural aspect of our team, which comprises of various nationalities covering the majority of the most commonly spoken languages.

2. Overall purpose of this position
We are looking for a Financial Analyst with a background in economics or finance to join our growing international Transfer Pricing team.
In your new role, you will be part of a diverse and international Transfer Pricing team, working alongside tax lawyers and economists. You will support team members with preparing economic analyses, performing advanced financial modeling and valuation analyses. This role offers an opportunity to work with colleagues from other practice groups including corporate tax, banking & finance and corporate M&A departments. As a Financial Analyst, you will be working on many types of economic and financial analysis that affect a multinational's tax or competition position. Such analyses can include:
* arranging a group's internal financing policy, which would require debt pricing, performing credit rating analyses, debt capacity analysis and cash flow modelling;
* conducting valuation analyses, based on corporate finance methodology, either for the valuation of a business or for the valuation specific types of IP;
* benchmarking analyses to establish reliable sets of peer group companies for various industries, in order to study the financial performance and appropriate pricing levels;
* advanced financial modelling, working with large sets of data and building scenario analyses to predict impact on outcomes;
* research and analyses relating to competition economics cases;
* supply chain restructurings, including the mapping of transaction flows and the development scenario analyses;
* dispute resolution and legal procedures, which often require quantitative modelling and economic argumentation.
Since all our advisory services have to be tailored for each client, a deep understanding of your client's value chain and industry are essential. The job therefore requires highly developed analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively and "intellectual curiosity" at the same time.

* Relevant master degree (for example Economics, Finance or Business Administration);
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written (additional language skills are a plus);
* Good organizational and communication skills;
* Relevant internship experience or up to 2 years of relevant working experience is a plus
* (Advanced) economic or financial modelling skills and databases is a plus.
