Category Manager Professional Services Wrocław, Poland The objective of the role is to design and implement end to end category plans to maximise commercial value and outcomes for AXA XL, balancing risk and opportunity What you'll be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include? Contribute to the design and implementation of category strategies for specific areas such as business consulting, actuarial services, Tax Services totalizing a 90M$ portfolio across the enterprise. Playing a key role in shaping strategies that support AXA XL's business objectives and financial performance Actively monitor and interpret global trends, regulatory changes, geopolitical risks, and disruptive trends, demonstrating the ability to use these insights to communicate strategies that enhance XL's position. Build and maintain relationships with leadership, functional heads, and subject matter experts, serving as a knowledgeable resource within the categories under your scope. Provide strategic input and challenge assumptions to drive innovation and promote a culture of procurement excellence. Work with Finance and business leadership to contribute to the development and oversight of category and business budgets and pipelines, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and delivering measurable value, including optimized total cost of ownership and superior service outcomes. Present data-driven reports on category performance, realized value, and strategic outlook to leadership and peers, offering informed recommendations to guide business decisions and future planning. Collaborate with broader teams to support the development and adoption of advanced commercial and procurement methodologies, policies, and processes, and execute strategies for risk mitigation and value creation aligned with Third Party Risk Management and Vendor Management teams including inputting into Exit Plans and strategies as required. Manage, develop, and mentor a team comprising one Senior Buyer and one Junior Buyer (based in Wroclaw), fostering a high-performance culture. Provide guidance on talent development, succession planning, and capacity building to make sure team effectiveness and continuous improvement. Work closely with the Sustainable Procurement function to work on supplier diversity, equity, and inclusion, and sustainability practices into category strategies, ensuring alignment with global regulatory frameworks and the company's corporate social responsibility commitments. Support Category Heads, the CPO, and the wider Global Sourcing & Procurement Team in implementing initiatives to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency, leveraging knowledge of industry best practices, analytics, and emerging technologies. You will report to Global Head of GenEx Sourcing.
