Descrizione del lavoro:

We are looking for an experienced data analytics professional to manage our Data analytics and PAT team at (COMPANY NAME)'s Ware manufacturing and R&D sites. This role is a key component for the long-term strategy for the application of modeling and PAT platforms at the Ware manufacturing (commercial production) and R&D sites.

The Data Analytics & PAT (Process Analytical Technology) Manager manages a cross functional team (of 7 people, including interim staff and IPs) that works collaboratively with the platform and product engineering groups across the Ware campus.

The team implements (and maintains) real-time process monitoring, informatics and modelling for the Global Supply Chain (GSC) production and R&D Oral and Solid Dose (OSD) process platforms. This includes implementing process system modelling and simulation approaches on small molecule dose-forms to increase understanding and reduce time in developing new manufacturing processes (to accelerate development and lower costs).

As the team manager you will support the upskilling of your team and the development of modelling capability across the Ware campus. Your team will work to develop and deploy Multivariant Statistical Process Monitoring (MSPM) and maintain core software platforms.

Job Purpose:
Reporting into the division's Director (Oral Solid Dose MSAT), you will own and provide technical expertise for Modelling and manage PAT experts across the Ware campus. This includes driving the strategic implementation of digital capability across the Ware MSAT function.

Key elements of the role (include..,):
* Develop and deploy process system modelling across the Ware campus to improve product development and process capability. This includes defining the digital strategy for site based MSAT (growing the capability across the campus).
* Work closely with process engineers, PAT Specialists and Product owners to implement the use of MSPM (Multivariant Statistical Process Monitoring) across dose forms and platforms within the Ware site.
* Working closely with R&D to align between manufacturing and R&D for current and future PAT applications, as well as collaborate with the wider PE&A (Process Engineering & Analytical) group to realise the full value of PAT and MSPM outputs.
* Use Process Systems Engineering, Modeling and Simulations (as part of a matrix process development team) to deliver team aims, including Process Design, quantitative Risk Assessment, Identification of Critical Process Parameters / Design Space, and implementation of advanced process controls.
* Develop skills within the team to successfully implement PAT for new and commercial products.
* Provide and coordinate training and real-time support to expand the use of modeling (simulations) across the Development and Manufacturing environments.
* Manage PAT experts in the lifecycle (management) of PAT (equipment, method, model and data infrastructure requirements).
* Seeking opportunities for interventions on platforms to impact quality metrics in the OSD production streams.

You will be aware and capable in the regulatory guidelines applicable to the implementation of MSPM models within a manufacturing environment. Links/interactions with regulatory authorities and other companies operating in highly-regulated environments (to ensure that updates/new guidelines are fit for implementation across the Ware Campus) would be helpful.

About You:
This role would suit a strong scientific manager capable of working in a cross-functional campus. You will also have capability in data modelling and informatics with a drive to develop the application for future products and MSPM models. Agile and capable of learning new platforms and processes (to enable you to manage experts in the application of PAT in the early lifecycle of product development).

About Ware Campus:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose (OSD) form. The campus holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company's pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms. The recent announcement of a new manufacturing facility located within the Ware campus is an exciting new chapter that will support the delivery of GSKs future product portfolio.

CLOSING DATE for applications: Monday 20th of May 2024 (COB).

Basic Qualifications:
* Demonstrable capability to manage teams (both line and matrix) in a Technical role.
* Good understanding of informatics and application of digital tools (to realise business benefits).
* System modelling knowledge and understanding of data for product performance (e.g. Multivariate Statistical Process Monitoring models).

Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of PAT (Process Analytical Technology) & of external regulatory requirements (MHRA, FDA) in relation to highly-regulated industries (eg; pharmaceuticals).
