We are looking for a proactive Operations professional to support our growing UK business. The role will work closely with Relationship Managers, the India offshore centre, and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate execution of operational activities in line with internal processes and policies. You will play a key role in supporting business initiatives, driving process improvements, and maintaining strong risk and control standards. Your key responsibilities

* Support operational initiatives, technology upgrades, and regulatory change projects impacting the private banking middle office.
* Provide operational support to Relationship Managers, ensuring timely and accurate execution of client transactions and resolution of any operational issues.
* Identify inefficiencies and implement process enhancements to improve turnaround times, minimize errors, and optimize the client experience. Continuously review operational workflows for efficiency improvements.
* Monitor and oversee the end-to-end processing of trades, cash movements, foreign exchange, and other client instructions.
* Oversee daily reconciliations of cash, securities, and positions. Ensure robust control frameworks are in place to mitigate operational risk and ensure payments are processed accurately, timely and meet compliance requirements. Act as escalation point for payment delays and errors.
* Oversee preparation and delivery of regular operational reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, issues, and process improvements and mentor and develop Operations staff (offshore), promoting a high-performance, client-centric culture. Assign tasks, monitor team performance and conduct regular performance reviews.

Your skills and experience

* Understanding of UK banking compliance requirements (CASS experience is a plus)
* Proven experience in private banking, wealth management, or related operations roles.
* Strong understanding of financial instruments, trade lifecycle and private banking products.
* Degree majoring in Banking, Accountancy or Business Administration or related discipline.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong organizational and multitasking abilities, strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with senior stakeholders
* Proficiency with core banking systems and operations platforms (e.g., Avaloq) is a plus.
