Project: We are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to join our Aviation Business Unit team, based at Heathrow Airport. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a high performing team within Mace. We are looking for a proactive and innovative individual who can help us redefine the boundaries of ambition. Experience of having worked on technical and logistically challenging projects is preferred, however those with construction experience on smaller projects will also be considered.

You will provide visible health, safety and wellbeing leadership and direction to the project teams and be part of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team providing guidance, support and mentoring.

This role will suit a proactive project focused individual that is adept at understanding the needs of the team. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal / presentation skills and a proven ability to present information to different audiences at project and business unit levels. You will be an ambassador for health, safety and wellbeing for the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Acting as advisor on health, safety and wellbeing, keeping projects abreast of new developments and apply professional standards to ensure best practice.
* Maintaining core areas of expertise and imparting knowledge to aid the development, training and mentoring of others.
* Applying tools and techniques, defining local strategies and methods to initiate and / or implement change to improve business health and safety performance and develop wellbeing plans.
* Providing health, safety and wellbeing advice to Mace managers and project managers to assist them in achieving business objectives.
* Maintaining awareness of business implications of own activities to improve the quality of technical or business recommendations.
* Creating, developing and maintaining a range of internal / external relationships to maximise impact of expertise and knowledge to influence the quality of decision making.
* Advising on and interpret project contractual and statutory requirements and obligations to protect projects' integrity.
* Establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with customers, partners and suppliers to assist the achievement of business targets.
* Overseeing health, safety and welfare management system development, implementation, and audit. Health, safety and wellbeing performance monitoring and measurement.
* Overseeing the health, safety and wellbeing risk management and health, safety and wellbeing incident reporting and investigations as required.
* Providing health, safety and wellbeing leadership, credibility, delivering through others and building lasting relationships.
* Overseeing health, safety and wellbeing standards and evaluation of compliance.
* Advising and guiding on emergency preparedness and response.
* Providing strategic health, safety and wellbeing risk management.
About you

You have a NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent NVQ, aviation / airport experience would be desirable. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
