Job Description
* Undertake and manage general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, heating, carpentry and decorating
* Conduct routine inspections of building structures, equipment and assets, performing reactive and preventive maintenance with minimal disruption to guests and visitors
* Install, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, appliances and systems, including heating and air conditioning distribution systems
* Coordinate and oversee contractors and external providers, ensuring compliance with service agreements and procedures
* Maintain accurate records and daily logs of all repairs and maintenance activities
* Actively contribute to the safety of people and property, including maintaining clear emergency exits
* Undertake appropriate training to develop expertise and identify areas for operational improvement
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
* Proven experience in building maintenance or a related trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC systems)
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and building compliance standards
* Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Reliability, responsibility, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance
