What You Can Expect
This is an evergreen pipeline posting to connect with electricians interested in future opportunities supporting ENGIE's operations at The Ohio State University power plant. While this is not an active vacancy, candidates who apply may be considered for upcoming roles as business needs arise.
At this site, ENGIE operates and maintains the campus utility and energy systems that power one of the largest universities in the country. As an Electrician, you would play a hands-on role in supporting the safe and reliable operation of the power plant and campus-wide electrical distribution systems, including low, medium, and high-voltage infrastructure.
In this environment, your work directly impacts the continuous operation of academic buildings, healthcare facilities, and research infrastructure across the campus.
You may:
* Support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems within the power plant and distribution network
* Assist with inspections, preventive maintenance, and upgrades of generation and utility equipment
* Work on systems ranging from low voltage up to high-voltage (15kV) (including equipment supporting campus distribution)
* Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams
* Collaborate with operations teams and contractors to maintain safe and reliable plant operations
* Participate in on-call rotation or emergency response activities, depending on the role
What You'll Bring
We welcome candidates with a range of experience levels who are interested in growing their careers in power generation and utility operations.
* High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
* Experience or training in electrical work (apprenticeship, technical program, or hands-on industry experience)
* Familiarity with industrial, utility, or power plant environments is helpful but not required
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
* Knowledge of electrical safety practices and use of testing equipment
* Willingness to work in an operational, industrial setting that may include shift work or on-call responsibilities
* Experience supporting medium- or high-voltage systems is valued

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
