· The Parker Meggitt Simi Valley Fire, Safety, and Power Division site is a fully integrated location with product responsibility from Marketing and Engineering through Supplier Management, Program Management, and Manufacturing, ending with customer delivery.
· Parker Meggitt is a worldwide leader in multiple Commercial and Military Aerospace product lines, including Fire and Smoke Detection and Extinguishing systems, Bleed Air Overheat detection systems, Actuators, Rudder Pedal Assemblies, Pumps, Fuel Gauging Systems, High-Temperature cables, and more.
· Parker Meggitt - Simi Valley, CA is also a key supplier to select Energy markets, including Nuclear gas Analyzers and Nuclear containment vessel penetration Cables. We work directly with the largest global aerospace companies, including Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Lockheed Martin, and many others.

JOB DESIGNATION

The Quality Inspector II inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance Instructions. Identifies moderately difficult quality issues in design, process or other inefficiencies to meet quality requirements.

JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
* Participates in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards
* Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
* Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
* Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues
* Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling Conducts Internal audits and corrective action follow ups
* Other responsibilities as assigned
* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education : A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications : Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience working in a repair station
Skills:
* Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision
* Able to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment
* Capable of following instructions and applying processes and procedures to standard routine tasks
* Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
* Proficient computer skills
WORK AUTHORIZATION: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent residency is required for most positions.
