VSL is an international specialist construction company with a worldwide footprint. We strongly believe in preserving our built environment to reduce the carbon footprint of the infrastructure sector and we see innovative engineering and high-quality execution as the key to that. As a part of VSL, the technical centers are a group of experts in engineering and methods to provide support to the countries where VSL is active. VSL hosts its Technical Centers in Bern, Barcelona, Dubai, Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong. The technical centers guarantee the technical expertise on the methods, design of permanent works design, temporary works and mitigates the technical risks associated with our projects.

The team in our technical center in Bern, Switzerland is mainly focused on providing support and technical competence to our project managers, business developers, our site engineers and to offer a strong added value to our customers. Together, we work in a multidisciplinary environment to improve our technologies and develop new, optimized and differentiating solutions. Our engineering teams combine civil, structural, mechanical and data science skills. We operate with multinational teams and aim to strongly advance gender diversity. We are looking to reinforce our team in Switzerland (Bern) by recruiting an international Stay Engineer.

How will you make an impact?
* Responsible for detailing stay cable systems on worldwide projects
* Follow-up and coordination of on-going study with draftsman and other engineers
* Coordination between production and technical team
* Support of tender team
* Follow up of site work, site audit / site inspection

Who are we looking for?
* Civil/Structural engineer in Bachelor/Master´s degree
* Interested in a challenging environment and the engineering and construction industry. You have an ambitious personality and are willing to share your knowledge with others
* With your strong performance motivation and innovative strength, you bring a high willingness to take responsibility and to learn continuously.
* Good written and spoken English skills, French or German skills are a plus!
* Good knowledge of MS Office 365, Very good skills in Excel (VBA) and Autocad (2D, 3D)
* Use of Solidworks is a plus
