The Role

As a Data Engineering Intern in the APAC Service Engineering team at Tesla, you will play a critical role in developing innovative solutions to enhance diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and customer support. You will primarily focus on leveraging data analysis techniques and your programming skills to build robust data pipelines, perform complex data analysis, and develop software applications. Your work will involve utilizing Python, Pyspark, Spark, and other relevant technologies to create efficient data processing workflows, implement data-driven decision-making processes, and contribute to the development of data-related backend services.

Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain high-performance data pipelines using Python, Pyspark, and Spark for diagnostics and data analysis.
* Design and implement data processing scripts and algorithms to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to analyze vehicle faults and identify patterns using advanced data analysis techniques.
* Participate in the development of software applications and backend services to support diagnostic reporting and analysis using Python Flask, Airflow, and other appropriate technologies.
* Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of existing data analysis workflows and software systems.
* Explore and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and programming languages to improve efficiency and scalability of our solutions.
* Work independently on assigned projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
* Gain exposure to Docker and Kubernetes and be eager to learn and apply these technologies in relevant projects.

Requirements

* Passion for software development, with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
* Strong programming skills with a focus on Python or C++.
* Solid understanding and experience with data processing and analysis tools such as Pyspark.
* Experience with designing and implementing complex algorithms and data structures.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to analyze and interpret large datasets.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other stakeholders.

* Docker and Kubernetes technologies in relevant projects
