Final comments
This is a bit different from most study abroad experiences. Athabasca Univ. presents courses by correspondence and over the internet. It is a fully accredited Canadian university. Tuition includes all books, tapes, and an 800 number to contact your tutor. I am studying abroad from my own home. It is fascinating to see how Canadian University differs from the USA and how the viewpoint presented in courses (Archaeology and Anthropology in my case) really does open one's eyes to a somewhat differing world view.

Pros
The school provided me a skill test to determine my aptitude for certain career paths and I excelled at analytical and technical skills.  My ability to take apart a contract and work with wording and language provided me several accolades at my jobs
Cons
The length of the course could have been shorter
