Sometimes the Greeks do not speak english very good. But at least it is no problem to live there without the greek language, but i would recommend everybody to learn the basics, specially the spelling.

Personal recommendation
Accept the way of living of the greeks. Sometimes it is strange at the university. You cannot be sure that a meeting will take place, so don't worry. In Greece everything is ok, there are not the same rules like in other countries.

Final comments
Athens is great, the social life there also. I can recommand everybody to go there, it was a great time for me. But I have to say that you must like such big and even dirty cities.

The housing was ok, but the problem was that it was expensive for athens prices. But the university arranged everything for us and I think it is difficult to find a flat on your own, specially with furniture.

There is no cafe you must not missed, but I can say that you will not be bored in athens. The nightlife is great and there is a big community between all the other internationals and because of this there are partys all the time.
