Personal spending habits
At home, I already have my own kitchen and house supplies so wouldn't otherwise buy them twice. Also, I have my own vehicle instead of taking trains and busses. Most importantly, at home I work almost 50 hours a week so don't have much time for a social life, Israel, however was a different story!!

Personal comments
Use and monitor your ATM use instaed of travel cheques which require a fee to exchange. Also, even though the exchange rate may benefit us from abroad, each item does add up! Try not to lose track.

I have all the necessities for a home, kitchen, appropriate clothing, etc. at my permanent home. So purchasing these items again did cost more than had I already had them. Also, I work almost 50 hours a week at home, so my social life is nill; but in Israel I had the time to go out and have fun.

Just remember, shekels do not look like money back home, but it's real...don't lose track of your spending! And try to share meals/cabs/etc when you can.

Health System management - Mgr.
Orly H
Czech Republic, Graduate
Business Studies, 2003
Overall
It took 2 years to complete the Mgr programm. It was very convenient  program which allowed me to continue working during studying. Campus is very nice. Easy to get there by train from different areas in Israel.
Teachers were very profesional and some of them were working in the specific area they teached, which brings practical experience into the studying course.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I plan to return for graduate studies, and I am bringing a puppy with me. Pets are not allowed in on-campus housing, otherwise, that would be my first option.

Personal comments
While the dorms were not as glamerous as dorms in the US, I loved my room, and my appartment, and have no major complaints. When I first moved in, it was rather dirty and unkept. Aside from that, I really thought the meyonot were perfectly acceptable.

Personal recommendation
It is amazing. I think the best type of people for this program are laid back, independant, open-minded, and fun loving. I loved my experience so much that I am returning this year for the MAPMES (masters program).

Final comments
It was the best year of my life, no joke. I met amazing people, I explored the country, I learned so much inside and outside of the classroom. It was the best time ever.
