Bilkent University

Bilkent is a different school from other Turkish universities. The university system is similar to American Universities. The courses have practical experiences as well as theoretical ones. Although Bikent is generally a good school, I believe there are some wrong decisions that university apply. I believe extracurricular activities, which are organized by the school or supported by the school, are very low in quantity. About my department, the Mechanical engineering department is good all around. The professors are helpful and motivating. We take mechanical and electrical courses generally. But we also take many lessons from other disciplines, too.  Taking classes from other departments is very crucial in my opinion. I apply the things i learned from these classes to my profession.

I have spent four years at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, studying Communication and Design. I am very thankful for this experience. Bilkent is a top university in Turkey, it is also private. As an international student, I studied there for free. University is greatly equipped, the library is one of the biggest in the country. Overall the university tries to create a perfect environment for its students to study. I definitely reccoment this program for however is interested in different disciplines of media and wishes to learn not only theory but also put their knowledge to practice.

Bilkent University has again been named as Turkey’s highest-ranked university the latest Quacquarelli Symonds Graduate Employability Rankings for 2018.

The Graduate Employability Rankings compare the employability outcomes of higher education institutions around the world, in an attempt to evaluate the institutions’ reputations among employers and the attractiveness of their recent graduates in the job market. Indicators used in these rankings fall into five categories: employer reputation (30%); partnerships with employers (25%); alumni outcomes (25%); employer –student connections (10%); and graduate employment rate (10%).

Among the universities evaluated, Bilkent ranked in the 251-300 band overall. Boğaziçi, İTÜ, İstanbul, Koç, METU and Sabancı universities ranked in the 301-500 band.

Our university provides many thing for students regardless their department. What i mean is for example if you are an engineering student you have art and history courses which are mandatory elective. Because our school wants us to be good at every aspect of life and courses. From the teachers around the world to the courses, also to the career opportunities, Bilkent is one of the best universities in Turkiye along with the evidences in global lists.

They are not placing the students into the companies for internships or jobs. They are waiting that effort from the students but they're helping students to contact with companies and giving them an opportunity list. They do not offer many things for working or being an intern abroad.

Bilkent University is one of the best universities in Turkey. From my experience, every teacher has been incredibly supportive and professional and each of them strive to teach you. Campus is located at Ankara's most prestigious location, so overall quality is top notch (one of the best you can find in my opinion). Student life is varied, there is always something happening whether it's a concert, a meeting or a seminar. Best companies in Turkey (and international) often come to the campus to hire students. To sum up, I believe that it Bilkent University is a great university that can open many doors.
