Personal comments
On campus housing is only for ndergrad. Off campus is expensive and can be far away from Boston College (in Brighton), which is annoying because the Tramway line doesn't go every where so you need a car.

I wish I had known...
You need a plug converter from 110 to 230 V. If your appliance is more than 50W in power, there is chance that the adaptator is more expensive than the appliance itself.

Personal spending habits
Boston is an expensive city. For instance, I pay twice as much for milk or clubs. $ is a good currency compared to French Francs. My daily expenditure (everything included : rental, food, ..) is twice as much as when I was in Bordeaux.
