Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
The money is almost the same, and for sure it provides more than a room in dormitories!

It´s a normal housing for students. Its main disanvantage is that internet connection is not provided in the room!!! A contract is needed, if your roomate does not want to share the access with you!

Ok, at first it was difficult to speak and undestand the local language, but time to time and with some help from the lessons that i did, it became easier for me to communicate with people in German. In the laboratory i did not face any problems, as the instruction language was in English. In addition i did not have any difficulties in communication with the international students and ofcource with people who spoke English!

It worths studying in BTU, because it offers qualitative studies and huge opportunity to meet international students!Especially for people who enjoy more going out, and it is difficult to find some time for studying there are a lot of events organized almost every day!!!

Final comments
If you have not done it yet, you should do it for sure!!! It would be helpful to learn some basics as far as the language is concerned, to avoid feeling like alien the first days you are in a totaly new environment!Be friendly and smile to everyone as they are kind with foreighners and even if they do nt speak English they will try to help you. If you enjoy travelling and expiriencing new places and meeting new people as well, a cheap way to do so, it's the followig web site: http://www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de It's about transportation by car with other people, where you share the costs of the trip!!! Is's nice, adventurous, safe and cheap above all!!!

Personal spending habits
Overall, the money, with a strong economy where same as at home, and some times less than at home! Specifically the food was more expensive because i had to pay it in the university restaurant , whereas in Greece was for free! The housing was more or less the same,if we talk about dormitories, and a single room in an appartment. The nightlife was cheaper than at home in contrast to travelling which was much more expensive than at home!

Academic
Course recommendations
Because, I actually did an internship, i am not the one who can responsibly talk about the courses! But if it happens to choose gas cleaning/aerosol technology courses, the teacher and the quality of the lectures is pretty good, and ofcource the teacher always have the willingless to reply in questons!
