Great education

Denmark, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2020
Overall
My time at CBS is some of the best years of my life. The lecturers and professors are top class and always well-prepared. Sadly, I think educational spending has decreased in recent years. There is very little individual time for students. Some might also find the social environment quite dull as the school only has business and economic students.

I wish I had known...
I wish I would have brought the books that I am going to use in Denmark. Books in Denmark are really expensive.

I wish I had known...
More information about the accomodation offered by the host university. When I was there I also discovered a wider variety of courses available.

Speak directly with your tutor or the exchange responsible before leaving home. Usually they are very nice and they can give you some information useful to have before leavig (about accomodation, organised events and courses).

On summary I can just add Copenhagen is a beautiful city with a great atmosphere a vivid nightlife a beautiful summer weathher, great parks. I had some travels for vacations but rarely I enjoied more than studying in Copenhagen. I really liked Danish lifestyle: they know how to work but always how to relax and have pleasure from life. Last but not least: CBS is a good university with a stimulating atmosphere.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Appartments are perfect to meet other international students, the danes often tend to keep to themselves, so fellow erasmus students are the ones wholl end up being your mates.

Overall great- good location- on the metroline at finsensvej 10mins into the centre, u can easily cycle it asell. Rooms have everything at your fingertips- kitchen, shower, internet and are a decent size- this could make the place feel a bit diconnected sometimes(ie.communal kitches give a community vibe) but it wasnt too big a deal. Plenty of shops on the street. we were lucky to hav basketball courts. good sized hall aswell for hangin out and messy parties. The only drawback was the strictness of the landlords- I think its a danish thing- they take personal offence to rowdiness or uncleanliness, although their tantrums were always quite amusing!
