I really liked the bars at the uni, Nexus on thursday at Solbjerg Plads and on friday La Cable at Dalgas Havn. In the city I loved LA Bar, it's crappy but cheap and you can find all the exchange students there at wednesday. I also liked Club Sevilla on thursdays (free entrance for girls). Park was also very nice, but expensive. And if you like Cocktails then Barcelona in Norreport is really nice.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It is so much fun to live together with other exchange students. But it is a shame that you don't get to know Danes and their culture/language as much.

I took an English course but that didn't help me much, the level was not really high (even though they called it an advanced course). I also tried to learn Danish by taking the Crash Course in the Intro week and later on a Danish Course troughout the semester. It's fun and you get to know a lot of people. And it's really nice when you can actually use Danish in everyday life (even though I didn't do that as much as I wanted to).

Copenhagen is expensive. I spent more on food because of that. I spent more on nightlife simply because I went out more than at home. Also housing was very expensives compared to home.

I wish I had known...
Bring enough money! And bring your nicest clothes because Danes tend to really dress up when going out :)

Personal recommendation
The International Office is very well organised, and iff any problems will arise they will help you in any way they can. CBS itself was less organised (register for courses, exam dates etc), but in the end it all worked out.

Copenhagen is beautiful! One advice is just to bring a lot of money so that you can do all the things you would like to... Buy a bike instead of a public transportation card- it saves you money and you will see many nice places/buildings while biking. Buy a Tivoli card (small kind of theme park in the middle of the centre), the friday night concerts are cool and you can see a lot of Danish bands. Buy Danish clothes, they are so pretty. I decided not to buy that much because it was expensive but regretted it afterwards. Last advice: ENJOY!

Academic
Course recommendations
The courses are not very organised. A lot of class discussions, sometimes I just had enough. My Danish class was fun though...

Don't worry too much. I think you really have to try hard not to fail, because teachers are very nice for exchange students ;) But try to keep up woith the readings, helps a lot at the end.
