I should have arranged a flat from the start of my stay in Barcelona instead of waiting until the second month to find one. The Residencia that I lived in for the first month was very nice, but the price was outrageous.

My favorite night spots included La Paloma, Discoteca, and La O´vella Negra. It was very difficult to find good food at moderate prices, it seems that if you want to eat a decent meal you need to pay quite a few euros.

Personal spending habits
At first it was quite difficult to find a satisfying meal at a moderate price. I also ran into some financial problems when trying to communicate with my family in the U.S. The nightlife seemed to be a bit cheaper and it was relatively cheap to travel around Spain.

Personal comments
My Spanish was quite good before I came to ESADE, but while in Cataluña it reached a new level as a result of taking courses in Spanish and learning quite a bit of slang over time.
