Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I lived on campus first semester which was very convenient and handy at first but there quite a few annoyances that made me choose to live off campus during the second semester.

Good but overpriced. Much better accomodation can be found off-campus and alot cheaper. Very handy living in the dormitory at first as everything was organised there(i.e. physical examination, visa procedures, registration etc) which was amazing at first. However, there is no living area or general area where students could hang out. Only two kitchens per floor (each floor has 34 rooms) and two refrigerators(though mini fridges could be rented). Rooms have own bathroom and are well maintained. Though very convenient, I would recommend living off campus. Warning to those who want to live on campus - go for room numbers that are even in the end (i.e. 1828) as these rooms face the south side and have a much better view, are alot quieter and warmer in the winter than northside rooms (i.e. 1829) Tonghe Apartments, KIC Village (brand new!) and Rainbow city seem very popular choices. Living in an apartment is generally alot cheaper than living on campus.

Because the space you got on campus was too small, I shared a apartment with three others, paid the same as I would have done on campus, but had 208 square meters, on camous I would have got max 20.
