Housing
Type of housing: piso compartido
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I´m justed to live on my own, and living together withother (international) students is the best way to meet different people, and have a good time

In this university, the Erasmus students have to find their own room/apartment, this is pretty dificult, especially if you´re spanish isn´t that good. But you´ll learn a lot more if you look for yourself, instead of using for example an agency. They cost a lot (subscription fee) and you don´t have any garantee for a place. I lived together with a lot of people, from all over the world, who where studying, working, and where not from my university. In this way I met a lot of people, which made my stay a lot more pleasant. In generaly the place was expensive and not in its best condition, but because of my roommates I had a great time

Academic
Course recommendations
depends on your home university, my university didn´t have any relation with this university in terms of courses, in other words, I had three weeks the time to pick my subjects, from 3 differents course/programs, 4 different years. So that´s something like 100 different subjects

I lifed a different life style, the past year was more like a holliday, but than 365 days lasting. So I went out for diner a lot of times, all most every day I went out to a bar, discotech, or botelon (drinking in the street), off course being in Spain I wanted to travel around, and because it´s a big country it´ll cost some money to get from A to B

in the beginning quite hard, because in Spain, there is only Spanish!!! there are a few people who speak english, but not much, so if your spanish isn´t that good in the beginning it´s quite hard, but after a while you´ll pick a things much easier and in the end everything is ok

I wish I had known...
no, not really. In August it´s really really hot in Madrid, and I wasn´t justed to it, therefor you won´t see a lot of people in Madrid, because there all on the beach. (important point, there is no beach in Madrid, just some public swimmingpools, and two big agua-parcs in the surroundings

Personal recommendation
It´s a nice university, not to big, so you won´t get lost. Because it´s a private university, the people can be closed-minded, in other words, meeting Spanish people isn´t that easy, but the once I did met, are really good friends now.
