The Finnish language is very difficult to learn. However I have tried to learn it but I did not end with good results and mainly because I did not spend enough time in the country. Fortunately the majority of people speak English in Finland, that is the reason why I did not have any problems in my everyday life.

There was great effort to get us to learn Finnish with Finnish language and culture lessons which were interesting. Most Finnish people have Finnish as their second language so communication was OK, just a little lack of confidence from some people, I guess they dont get the opportunity to speak to many English people over in Hameenlinna.
