In school English was the only language I used. Most of the Norwegian speak quiet well English, so communication thin the country is no problem. On the other side, this situation didn't force me too often to use and improve my Norwegian.

Double interest to study in Norway. On the one hand you speak English inside the University. On the other side you have free courses of Norwegian in a way you can speak a little the local language in everyday life.
