Netherlands, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2020
Overall
My major at Haaga-Helia UAS, Helsinki, Finland is Supply chain management. Although this major is quite new and does not have many courses, it is very interesting and inspiring to learn this major. First of all, I know many new knowledge about supply chain and logistics such as green logistics, digital supply chain. I have learned about ERP system which is very important for manufactures and supply chain players.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Most of exchange students do live on campus and there is a perfect opportunity to socialize with others. Living somewhere else will make me feel separated. Besides the localization in the centre of Helsinki was perfect.

Personal comments
Haaga university took care of everything connected with housing so I didn't have to bother of anything. As I mentioned before, the localization was perfect and I had many friends from different countries living next to me. I shared the room with a friend from my home university so we got on well. There was a free sauna in the same building so we were making a good use of it. The most serious drawback was the price for acommodation - it was quite high as everything in Finland and generally in Scandinavia. Some students also had a few problems connecting with the Internet, but they were solved quite fast.

Course recommendations
Even if a student have enrolled to make a course that same course can be canceled a few days before start due to a not suficient number of students that take that same course. The courses choices or schedules are know only a few weeks before each period, indeed it is hard to predict which course can a student take.

In my opinio soup and the main course should be considered one whole meal and not independents meal choices. About the lecturers are in generally friendly and the dirctor of the degree that is also Professor is really funny and nice person but there is one thatI dont know if I like him or not because he (David Murray) screams with the students as if we are in the last century and in the class 1, in my opinion he is sometimes rude....but other times he gives nice tips about the world.Students can do nothing since their grade depend of him....

English was taught really well in my home university, Finnish people also speak English very well so I didn't experience any problems with communicating. At the same time, I don't feel that I improved my English much because it's not a mother tongue of Finns. On the other hand, I think that I learned to communicate and to express myself more easily.

Finland, Undergraduate

Overall
Some of the courses are very well balanced and will give you exactly what you are looking for but that is only for "some of the courses".

Many of the teachers/lecturers are not suited for the job and seem to have neither fire or skills to even comprehend their work. This can be found through lessons where the English teacher doesn't speak or has flawed spoken skill set with English, teacher which is meant to teach workplace communication is close to a pokemon slowpoke (phrasing is boring and articulation lacking), a teacher might say: "Maybe this course is not for you then." when you miss one lecture, a course regarding building a financially working company has this "Yes yes, seems it's ok" attitude even though the fictional company makes loses annually and a ton of more same happenings....

Some courses are absolutely amazing and will help in long terms but the avg score I'd give for all courses is 4 (1-10).

On top of this all there isn't any kind of well planned working structure to help new students to participate in ant activities. The whole school feels like you are tossed on the side and they are only doing the work for the sake of money given from Finland.

I can't recommend this school for anyone and I have an avg. score close to 90% from all studies. This is why I can easily give honest review about most of the lectures. And about contact information: Why would I post my information to burn my changes to future study even though it's close to worthless in it's own honesty....

If you want to get education and won't be picky about the HONEST education quality, you should study here. It's honestly close to a really bad joke and I am deeply disappointed.
