Would recommend !
Lisanne D

Business Studies, 2024
Overall
The courses are easy to follow and generally well explained by the lecturers. The teachers offer multiple opportunities to expand your social network and are very helpful. I like that the study program is relatively small and therefore very personal.

Study program "International Food and Agribusiness"
Benita S
Germany, Graduate
Agricultural Economics, 2023
Overall
The “International Food and Agribusiness” course is very future-oriented and broadly based, which has set itself the question “how one can feed the constantly growing world population with a sufficient and healthy nutrition in a sustainable way”. One problem is the juxtaposition of the increasing world population and the constant amount of available land for agriculture. But this is not the only one, many underlying issues prevent adequate and healthy food supply. IFA addresses and offers insight into many different parts of the world's food and agricultural industry, which together can contribute to the overall solution with progress and change. The fundamentals taught offer a broad spectrum in the food production, processing and supply with the relevant organisations and actors around it. We as students can continue our education and develop in many of the related areas and, in order to also become game-changers.

Negative experience at HAS Den Bosch from 2022 - 2023
AnFearIontach
Ireland, Undergraduate
, 2022
Overall
I had an awful experience in the HBM course at this place. I saw plenty of red flags from Day 1 but I said nothing as I was so happy to be there as I wanted to study at HAS for many years.

I found the majority of the staff to be snobby, unhelpful and unsympathetic. The only people who were helpful were the receptionists, laboratory staff, IT staff and some of the newer teachers. I also found the staff to be quite ignorant to the trials and tribulations that come with being an international student, such as searching for accommodation and how it is required by Dutch law to have a permanent address in order to receive a BSN number to seek employment.

I suffered with mental health issues during my time at HAS as a result of not having a permanent address and being unable to work and I was not given an ounce of compassion. My mental health issues were undermined by the institute.

The standard of English at HAS left a lot to be desired, HAS uses Google Translate quite frequently, which adds to the confusion. It is highly fraudulent of HAS to charge people thousands of euros to attend when their staff are unable to speak or explain their methods in the target language. It is very hard for a native English speaker to understand such gibberish.

JB, AD, and MV were the worst offenders. AD, to her credit, actually tried to help students, but the other two were very unhelpful. JB refused to answer a question from me in an exam review, the only time in my time on earth that a teacher refused to answer a question. He also boosted in one of his lectures how when he was a seed seller that he would overcharge farmers. Classy individual. MV is just an absolute spoofer, as we say in Ireland.

SMG is another classy individual. I saw her in public after I was no longer a student at HAS, and she shrugged her shoulders at me and gave me a dirty look when all I did was say hello.  This show of the ilk and classlessness of the characters who are employed by HAS.

I also found the head of the HBM course MPD to be a massive snob and a false personality.

Pros
The only people I found helpful at HAS were the receptionists, the IT staff, the teachers who started in 2022 as they could actually speak English well and the laboratory staff.
Cons
Hire staff that speak English well.
