I wish I had known...
There is a huge Malaysian community in Moscow. For Malaysians who want to break out of the society, it would be better to join the Russian course - there are more chances to meet Russian and other international students. Russian mentality is that of the post-Soviet times. People coming from developed countries like US, UK would definitely experience culture shock.

Everything is based on self-effort. If you are easily influenced by others and have no patience for learning Russian or adapting to the Russian culture, it's best not to come to Russia.

Great institution, highly recommended. Could be on the expensive side; if you do not get support from family, you will need a part time job at the least.

Instructors are strict, but fair. Focus in lectures; do assignments, and extra studies, but you must have a healthy balance. Will be very difficult if you take on a part-time job.
