Personal spending habits
At home food and housing is divided between all family members. In Portugal I used to eat very often in restaurants. I used to travel more than in Poland. Telephon calls are very cheap in Portugal.

Try to shop in Mini Preco or Lidel, for night life for girls: in many places there are special days in a week when ladies can enter for free!

Knew no portugese at all, now am alright, the portugese course was pretty good. The English level of some people there was apalling eventhough in general it was ok.

I think it is good to try everything. There are a lot of pubs in each part of Lisbon. Cafes, I liked tipical portuguese bars with galao and cake bolacha :)

all courses studied in english, additional portuguese language course, i liked it, but sometimes was the teachers accent a bit worse, nearly ununderstable
