Final comments
Traveling is not so expansive - just take sleeping bags with you. And regarding Braganca and Traz-os-montes region you might be surprised with temperature there ;))

Courses of a host country language started too late - and that is why we managed to learn only the most common phrases. However, we had a lot of opportunities to practise Portuguese in everyday life - e.g. shopping, traveling as English is popular only in major cities in Portugal

travel by hitchhiking ( its really fun :)and you can also sleep in camp, don't need hostel. but if you want there are students hostels "Pousadas de joventude" they are cheap and very good

i wish i knew that it is so cold in Braganca the winter and that you need a car if you stay near ISLA or IPB.

it's not a university...it's a private institution and it looks like a private school.So if the reason of the erasmus is academic,dont go.

people are very friendly, i was not not used to. and specila advice, you really need a pair of good dance shoes - not life can be very difficult sometimes:)))
