Althoudh i went to Mexico and they speak Spanish as i do. At University i chosed all my classes in English because i wanted to improve it. My classmates usually were students from US that were also in a exchanged program in Mexico.

It was not legal for me to work

I spent less in food and telephone because food is cheaper and i didn´t use telephone as much as in Spain. I spent a los in travelling and going out at night. Alcoholic drinks are more expensive than in Spain and you have to pay a cover to enter in pubs.

In summer Monterrey is very very hot.
If your going to travel all over Mexico contact in the campus people from the part you are going to, they will give you the best advise.
When travelling do not wear ostentatious things.
Taste "margaritas" and a beer called "Sol".

They really treated me very well but the second semester I preferred to have more independence and to share the apartment with the people i had met the first semester. That´s why I changed my residence.

A bar called "La Cabaña" located in the "Centrito Valle" and there are also a lot of pubs and discos in the old part of Monterrey known as the "Barrio Antiguo".
