Academic
Course recommendations
I was in the master programme in ITAM (administration), so the courses there were really good. There were also some in english, and Comunicacion Gerencial with Joan Maclean is highly recommendable, as well as Strategies in International Negotiations with Thomas Koralek (in spanish).

I wish I had known...
Maybe more about the culture, but itis hard to learn the little things..But in general mexicans are enjoyable and respect that you are from a different culture and therefore don't understand everything..They also try to moderate a little their language (skip slang) for you to understand

Be careful. Mexico City is a big city, and one has to take care..For example, one should not get a taxi on the street (for robberies), rather call a taxi. Also be careful where you withdraw money. The university was very helpful informing us about what to do regarding security. We did never have any bad experiences, but we tried at least to be careful..And I felt safe there!

Everything was cheaper than Norway, except imported "luxury-goods" from Europe, as well as clothes from European Shops..In total we spent more on travelling and nightlife, but this only because we did it more :)

It is possible to find cheaper housing, but then it would be further away from the school, and transportation is very cheap..But it is much more of a hassle then..

As I said, some courses were in english, but it is very useful to know spanish, because many good courses are in spanish, as well as it is much easier to communiate with other people..I was kind of weak in spanish in the beginning, but the teachers and your fellow students respected it, and helped the foreign students along the way..And we improved a lot, also from a lot of social interaction with mexicans
