If you want to party with the Japanese: Triangle is the hippest club, with weekly guest DJs/performers from all over the world. Events: any Zettai Mu party (look for fliers) is truly awesome if you are into the underground movement.

Takebe was my personal favorite...its an onsen down south...can't remember the big city's name. It won't be hard to find. Be sure to make it to a traditional drum festival if you can. Museums in the Osaka and Kyoto area (VERY nearby) are not to be missed. Travel from the university is so simple, any student should consider going on the basis of access alone.

Osaka is not a good place to go really wild for the whole night! Its free although to get in, but the drinks is very expensive!!! There are many karaoke places and gamecenters or bowling. But you would like to go dancing all night, you should go to motherhall which is one of the few big clubs. But for a really good party and hangout place I would rather go to TOKYO!!! there are many clubs and many places to chill. My favourite club in Tokyo is HARLEM, club asia, liquid room, yellow, Velfare, etc and the best place to chill is Shibuya, Shinjuku and ODAIBA. besides city life there are many beaches as well aroung Tokyo. But OSAKA sucks.

Get the heck out of Hirakata City... Osaka and Kyoto are close by, and have plenty to keep you occupied. Kobe is a little bit farther but is worth the trip!

Internet cafes are great places to sleep if you miss the last train home. Karaoke should not be missed with a large group of friends.

Lots of clubs and circles...they are very receptive to people come and joining them. A few good bars in the area but they are quite expensive. If you come in the fall, check out the Danjiri festival...it was nuts!!
