Personal comments
Well, comparing with other languages, Dutch is a really difficult language specially for people of south Europe. Maintly because we are not very used to pronounce different sounds. As soon as you arrive to Antwerp you should visit the Tourism Office. There. you will find the agenda of the city activities of almost all the period of your stay. They organize quite a lot of festivals that you should not forget. Even, being in Antwerp Maraton in Septembre is an enourmous opportunity.
