The arrangements of housing were really well taken care of. However, I was not totally satisfied with my apartment since it was from time to time really cold and one couldn´t do anything about it. The good thing that I lived in an apartment was that I lived with an Austrian man so I could speak when ever I wanted. However, there are many good aspects also in other options. For example, in campus there were free internet connections and, of course, one had a super oppotunity to meet lots of friends...

It is much better to live with other students who have the same lifestyle as you and with whom you can talk, as it can often be lonely in a foreign country. Student accomodation is also extremely well priced.

Accomodation is organised very well at this UNiversity. Exchange students just fill in a form and they are given somewhere to stay. This saves a lot of trouble. We were also given the choice whether we wanted private accomodation or student accomodation.

I had good contacts there with the other Erasmus-students and the austrian students. I believe that it would have been different in an apartment or in a family. Social contacts are very important to me.

There were a lot of facilities for students (computerrooms, libraries, studentsrestaurant).Only the acces was sometimes hard. I´ve had to wait several times because al computers were taken. I couldn´t find any vegetarian meals in the restaurant.

I've heard from other students in Graz that the students'accommodation were terrible... I think everything is hard at the beginning, we just have to get use to it! Nothing is impossible! I spent 1 year in Exeter in England; the accommodation were terrible! the bedroom looked like a jail of 9m², sharing kitchen and "bathroom" with 11 other unknown people... maybe you won't believe it, but it has been the most wonderful year I spent! Just take it easy!

I would choose to live near where I was placed this year.My accomadation was a very central location with a distance of only ten minutes from the Uni any ten minutes from the city centre. It was indeed an absolutly ideal location.

This year I lived in a house with one spanish and one bosnian girl.Apart from the fact that it was great to meet new people I learnt about different cultures as well not to mention a little of both their languages too.My rent was very reasonable and my landlady was very good to all of us.

Because living in a shared flat meant that I was surrounded by Austrians, not by other Erasmus students as might have been the case had I stayed in university accomodation

As I was living in a shared private flat, I only have second hand experience of the actual university accomodation in Graz.
