Near the university there are not many places to go maybe Schmukers bar is a good place to go but there were no places to dance nearby. In Milan which was really hard to access at night without a car then there were plenty of places to go (but quite expensive).

Dont chose too many that are all piled in at the end of the semester as I did as the work really piles up when you need to study for exams.

To start all courses at the start of the semester so that the students have less time in the beginning at more time at the end when they want to study and have their last weeks remembered fondly instead of boring and the only thing that anybody did was study

Personal recommendation
I do not personally think that this university is a good host for international student because it is a private university and the Italian students are not as friendly as others that i encountered and the university is in the middle of nowhere as some people liked to say.

Travel very light you will not believe the amount of shopping that you will do here and travelling especially when the weather is nice. Don't be shy and don't judge people too early people change when they settle down and usually you will find that they change for the better.

I got another Erasmus grant towards the end of the semester which i did not know i was going to get. Cost saving tips are to take some cooking utensils with you as i had to buy them here because they did not tell me that they would not be provided. Alsocook in groups it work out cheaper.

I had to do a basic course in Italian at the start of the semester and it was really helpful however, the teacher only spoke in Italian and when it came to exams it was really hard to know what was going on especially when i did not know any Italian before i went to Italy and some people in the class did so they were teaching everyone at the same level which i don't think was the best thing to do.
