If you're looking for a truly international experience, then Melbourne is the place to go to! And why LaTrobe, because while not being located directly in the city you get to know people better. It's a true "campus" life.

Australia is a fantastic country, economically and culturally dynamic, with nice weather conditions and certainly australians are one of the nicest and kindest people in the western world! In addition you get to see amaizing landscapes, learn more about the aboriginal culture, and practice any type of sport you want. Basically everything is possible in Australia, at relatively cheap rates, from skying, hiking to surfing and sunbathing on magnificent beaches...

Open yourself to the others (students and staff) and they will open as well. Very nice atmosphere to be enjoyed at any time.

Careful with visa, permits, and all administrative stuff. Buy a second-hand car there if possible, distances are huge (nothing to do with Europe) in the city itself. Excellent time guaranteed if expenses carefully managed. Academic experience OK. Visit Bali (Indonesia)! And Sydney!

I wish I had known...
I was pretty well informed (home university and International Programmes Office). However, the Visa Application took longer than I expected, so start early.

Tasmania is the most wonderful spot on earth, I've seen so far. Don't believe people/travel agents who tell you that 3 days are enough.

1983 Textbooks include more relevant information
HARRY w
Australia, Undergraduate
, 2020
Overall
Administration and support is disappointing. Course content was out of date and 90% of online modules were pre-recorded lectures from a drone of an academic that has no real-world experience of how to actually apply the principles and theories. When enrolling, I was informed of being able to receive credit transfers and recognised prior learning for almost half of the subjects… none of this was true and instead was enrolled and charged for the subjects without any notice. Nothing more than a money grabbing institution disguised as higher education.

The worst University, future students BEWARE!!!!!
Kristina S
United Kingdom, Undergraduate
, 2020
Overall
This is the worst university, all they want is your money, the admissions team is absolutely useless they don’t have a clue about basic requirements for when applying for a course, all they do is make up rules as they go. Future students BEWARE!!!!! They also like to discriminate you if you are from a different country...
