LYIT offers lots of possibilities concerning many fields of student life. Could not be a better Institute for a exchange student.

Letterkenny is a small but lively town full of students. I love the atmosphere where you could sense the spirit of countryside as well as a growing town. Go, and travel around the Donegal county, do not miss Giant Causeway in the Northern Ireland either! Get yourself involved with locals and you'll have lots of fun!Go before it's too late and have some good craic!

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Living in a semi-detached house with a group of other students was a great and multi-cultural experience.

Personal comments
Mainly I was content with housing in Letterkenny but internationals didn't have a choice of choosing a cheaper accomodation even though there was some available. But all in all, nothing to complain.

The chaplain of the Institute arranges trips for the foreign students, those trips are almost without costs and are really nice!! It's also a way to get out of Letterkenny, cause the public transport is not totally easy.
