Extra costs in housing was a great surprise. Every one of us living in the same house had to pay 50e each month for the heating etc. I didn't know to expect that great extra costs.

Letterkenny is a small but lively town full of students. I love the atmosphere where you could sense the spirit of countryside as well as a growing town. Go, and travel around the Donegal county, do not miss Giant Causeway in the Northern Ireland either! Get yourself involved with locals and you'll have lots of fun!Go before it's too late and have some good craic!

Mainly I was content with housing in Letterkenny but internationals didn't have a choice of choosing a cheaper accomodation even though there was some available. But all in all, nothing to complain.

For the people looking for something else than pubs only, visiting Letterkenny Christian Fellowship church(Bonage Hall, Sunday at 11am) is worth trying. Often lots of concerts etc. in the evenings there. Everyone is greeted warmely welcome.
