Academic
Course recommendations
Choose at least one of the scandinavian studies courses independently of what your main studies might be. I think they give a very good insight in scandinavian life, culture and history

Languages
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: No problems in any areas (including slang)
My level after: No problems in any areas (including slang)
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
Most swedes speak English very well, so there weren't really any problems regarding communication. The downside of this is only that you aren't really forced to adapt the local language which is a pity in my eyes.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
Easy to meet lots of interesting people, both locals and internationals

Personal comments
Housing for internationals is fairly well organized by the international housing office. You don't have to look for a room on your own. I got a room on a "corridor" with 11 other swedish students. I had my own bathroom & internet access.
