Great opportunity to improve your French while being instructed in English; however, you have to make the effort to really find francophone friends, read French newspapers, listen to French radio stations etc.

The '737' is a club on the 45th floor of a building. There are 2 kinds of music (on diffrenet floors).: house and R&B. even if you don't like this kind of music, you have to go for the view. Absolutely great! Also, there is the Mc Kibbens pub on Bishops Street. It's kind of an Irish pub and on Wednesday, girls drink for free between 10pm and 1 am.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
renting a room in an already established apartment-sharing community is the easiest way for three simple reasons:
- you don't have to buy anything since the room is already furnished and the most important household items are available (washing machine, dryer, TV, fridge, stove etc.)
- you don't have to worry about electricity, cable or internet contracts since they run on your room mates' names
- you have a lot of fun with the other guys and make immediately a couple of new friends!

the above evaluation is based on the fact that I consider FRENCH to be the official language of Québec, not English; this is because locals are very proud of their French heritage and consider themselves a nation of their own...the language of instruction was however English, and so were most of my friends - well, complicated, I know
