Every lesson was in english and I had the opportunity to watch lots of movies in english. Another factor was the fact of being with international students during days and nights.

Personal spending habits
Food is a bit more expensive than in France. Night life was more dynamic because of erasmus life, with many events organized. I had more opportunities to travel, Helsinki being closed to Russia, Sweden, Estonia.

I wish I had known...
I wish I had known before how cheap it was to travel and visit Helsinki, the surroundings and of course other countries around. Nothing else because finally university brings all the information needed even before arrival in Finland.

Teachers are definitely of a very good quality, and the equipment is exceptional, in terms of computers, books and the buildings are very nice. There s also a cheap cafeteria, which is quite a good thing and a good way to discover finnish food.

Final comments
Everything is great for a student. Traveling is easy and quite cheap. It s a great experience within European Union, discovery of a completely different culture in a country where everything works properly...the only thing is not to be affraid of coldness and snow!

Housing was perfect, just situated between Helsinki city center and school. It was really cheap for that quality and everything needed was less than 10 mn walking (supermarkets, post office...)

Bar fly, tiikeri are great places by night. Donn t miss Kaivo Puisto,, Helsinki park, Ice hockey games, and of course there are lots of museums, concert halls. The opera offers good prices for students and is really nice.
