In Finland almost everybody speaks a Good English, but at the University that level is even better. I had no problem with English speakers, on the other hand not everybody speaks English so I had to learn a bit of Finnish for shopping and other kind of things. I wish I had learnt more about this Language (Finnish) but when you know a little of English is easier to communicate using it than using Finnish which is new for you. Anyway you always learn easy sentences and words to survive.
