Courses and times were designed to suit the lecturers more and not the students. Course content was good and most of the courses were very interesting. Particularly in 4th year.

Exams followed immediately after lectures and projects so there was no time at all to study. Surely something could be done to improve this system. A little more consideration with regards students life outside college particularly when nearly all the students are living away from home!

Évaluation globale

“Selective business school with historical reputation.”

Évaluation globaleWork : Reims and Rouen are closed to Paris, where the majority of HQ are + good reputation and high number of alumni yet involved in the labor market : easy to find an internship or a job after graduation.
Location : Reims & Rouen are metropole but little one, easy to live in the center of the city, close to other students. Cold weather like in Paris but French "Art de vivre" in the 2 regions (Normandie and Champagne).
Student life : A lot of association, possibility to be on several with high level of responsibility > ownership on projects. Campus with a lot of animation done by association.
Courses : general at the begging to have a minimum background on all subjects. Possibility to select your specialization and all students can go on international university program (most than 300 partnerships, less than 5 per destination : no campus abroad).

I wouldn't have paid rent at home. The exchange rate played a big factor on my epenses. I travelled more than I ever have before. you can get cheap flights to just about anywhere in Europe. It's hard to say no when someone asks you if you want to take a trip to Italy for 50 euros.

Bring peanut butter and soup packets if you really want to save. On the first day of orientation the ESC sets up a table with leftover dishes and appliances for the last semester.

Courses both in French and English. Those courses were difficult concerning the language that were in French - those courses were meant mainly for the local students.
My French language did not improve so much as I had hoped due to the fact that I spent my time mainly with other exchange students amongst which there were always those who wanted to speak in English. This resulted in that the exchange students language was English and not French.

For all international students who wish to study at ESC Rouen I have one good advice: Don´t miss the first two weeks of the French Intensive Seminar, you will have partys ( sometimes 2 per night) every night at different locations, from house partys up to bigger parties in excellent bars like Highlands, O´Kallaghans or LA Hacienda. Don´t miss them. They are really superb and it is a big opportunity to get better connected with other students.
