There is no need to learn Finnish because most of the people around know quite well english. Only problems happen in some institutions and some shops, including hairdresser and car workshops.

The international language is English, most of Finnish speak fluently English,also better than me,so trought this I could improve myself,even when I was mainly with students from my country.

I didn't really have much of a problem as most people speak English, but I suppose if they didn't it may have forced me to learn more of the language, which might also have been beneficial.

Learning Finish was quite difficult and unfortunately I didn't learn a lot. It would have been easier to study in an english speaking country. Knowing the language is pretty important.

English was the language that I spoke here in Finland. Before coming here, I knew very well, but it was hard for me to take a conversation, cause I haven't found oportunities to speak english before. Now my conversation in english is much better.

All our teachers and guides at our internship were able to talk English very well. The finnisch language was for me to difficult to learn in only 3 months...
